Hot Wheels

Things to think about:
How is the hot wheels track in this video symbolic of our life

  1. Well first off, this is awesome I wish I had that many hot wheel tracks when I was younger. This relates to life in that sometimes life is easy and you just coast by, where other times are a struggle and you are really moving fast and your life takes sudden turns just like the car is. Sometimes like is rough like when the track wobbles and sometimes you have to overcome challenges like when the car goes up the stairs. You may be by yourself alone like when the car is outside on the single track, and other times you will be surrounded with other people and in the middle of crazy things like the parts with lots of loops and turns.

  2. This video is so cool! I like that it was for a good cause and I think that it would have taken a long time to construct. Like Hanna said, the track easily relates to life. Life is a long road with many ups and downs, but there is always something there to keep you going when you slow down.

  3. Wow. That was awesome.

And, as Chris and Hannah say, this track could be compared to our lives, but I doubt most people have a life that crazy. I'm sure some do feel as if they do, though.

  4. It's realllly cool. But irrelevant, and I think it's mostly symbolic of posting another random thing on here which shouldn't be a cop-out for the blog project :P

  5. First of all, this is really sweet that someone was able to make a Hot Wheels Track like this. Second I can see where this relates to life where sometimes life will be going smoothly then one thing changes and life throws you for a loop. Sometimes, we can prepare ourselves for certain situations that would be hard for us like the hotwheels car had speed boosts to help it get up the stairs. Then it again some situations are impossible to be prepared for.

  6. I definitely think that this video was in no way supposed to be symbolic of anything. It was fairly entertaining though. Personally, I used to ramp my two hot wheels cars off of a ruler tilted across a staircase, so the fact that anyone has this much hot wheels track blows my mind.

Additionally, I feel that this video really does say something about determination. Just as the creator of this hot wheels track had enough determination to build such a huge track, everyone should live their lives with enough determination to keep on rolling throughout all of life's twists and turns.

  7. Yeah I agree that this video wasn't made to be symbolic but I guess if you look into it you can see that, like Hanna said, life has plenty of obstacles and ups and downs but you just have to power through them and move on with your life.

  8. I completely agree with Daniel. It is lazy and a huge cop-out to post a cool video and then pose a broad question such as how is this symbolic of our life. Not going to lie I'm kind of disappointed and refuse to make up some deeper meaning from a video a parent shot of a cool track to raise money for a charity.

  9. I really love this video because i really admire the little boy can play the hot wheel in his childhood. It can make us feel easy when i saw this although there is no deep meaning in it i think.

  10. I also agree that this video was symbolic of the road that people face in life. The road we all take will have twists and turns and what not making each life different. But at the same time, this probably didn't have a real meaning behind it. It was just another 15 minutes of fame thing.

  11. I am sorry that I am posting late on this blog, I had no internet at my conference.
I definitely agree with the many people who posted that this was an easy cop-out. the hot wheels were probably just something this person did in free time and decided to put it online. I really doubt the creator even thought of the metaphors that some of us bloggers wrote done about life is like the tack, sometimes smooth sometimes not. I believe that this was just another result of boredom.

  12. My brother and I played with hotwheels when we were younger so this made me reminisce about the good ol' days of my childhood. I can totally see how people can interpret this as a "roller coaster of life" and what not. That makes sense. To be honest, I think it's just a video of someone who wanted to share their love for hot wheels with others. It may be nothing significant to us but to the creator, it could mean everything.

  13. Just like many others, I too played with hotwheels as a kid with my brothers, but I never really thought about them being symbolic to anything. Yes watching this video brought me back to the days when life was so simple and you could spend all day building race tracks, but now not many have the time to do that. I guess some symbolism could be seen in the track itself, representing the path of life, but other than that I just thought the video was fun to watch.

  14. Like just about everyone else, I too played with hot wheels. This track is hands down the best I have ever seen. In terms to how this could be relevant too life is rediclious the only parallel that could be drawn is that life keeps going. Otherwise it's just a rediclious vide that can be deemed the best ever in hotwheels history.

  15. I feel like there was no real meaing to this YouTube video. It was really interesting but it shows hardwork and how important family is. If one wanted to draw a deeper meaning they could maybe think of the idea that life goes on through different twists and turns.

  16. As an analogy I would say that life could be seen like this video because its long has unpredictable changes in direction, you don't know where it is going but if you stay on track you will end up where you want to go and when its all done you will be glad you went through it all.

  17. This is really a fantastic project. Because in order to succeed, he has to do a lot of calculations in advance such as those creativ loops.
